A. Sehatti is a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Pennsylvania and her master’s degree in nursing from University of California, Los Angeles. Aside from her clinical work at Stanford Medical Center, UCLA, Caltech Health Center, and Los Robles Professional Group in Los Gatos, she has more than forty years of experience in educating children, adults, and groups on health, nutrition, and total wellness. Ms. Sehatti is highly dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives. She has been serving her community in her current role as a health educator and nutritional consultant since she established NCWC in 2005. It has been the reward of witnessing people reach their health and wellness goals that has inspired her to write books and share the tools that have helped her clients with her readers.
Although the consultant is a family nurse practitioner, she would not take part in assessing, diagnosing, or treating a health problem. The sole purpose of NCWC is to work alongside your health care provider by educating, guiding, and supporting you in reaching your health goals.

BUILDING A STRONG SENSE Of SELF: Embarking on the Journey of Change
- Many of us know from experience that maintaining healthy habits is challenging. A minor change in routines caused by a stressful situation can make us slip and return to our old patterns. Building a Strong Sense of Self empowers you to sustain your healthy behavioral and lifestyle changes regardless of the challenges you face.
- This transformative book helps you embark on your journey by inspiring you to search deep within you and discover and validate your inner self (your true self).
- Through the process of learning to love your self unconditionally, you gather and cultivate principles that are rooted in positive values and virtues (i.e., freewill, logical reasoning, and compassion) that fit the true you.
- No longer enslaved to your old ways, your new constructive mindset will guide your thoughts and drive your actions in times of stress and empower you to stick to your healthy lifestyle modifications.
- As you gain the ability to maintain your behavioral changes in a more consistent manner, you become empowered to achieve your health goals and experience rewarding outcomes.
- This is how embarking on the journey of change will help you gain a sense of physical, emotional, and mental well-being (i.e., a state of total wellness).
- Please note that this edition has replaced the original work that was published in 2018 as "The Inner Control Is the True Control: Making Lasting Lifestyle Changes / Book 1 - Building a Strong Sense of Self."
